We’re expectant the day is coming when people everywhere get to celebrate together the freedom found in God–that they can do it without fear or suspicion that someone has it out for them. We are expectant that God is leading us toward that day. So even in the midst of backwards steps, in the face of hatred and violence, we trust that God is acting. We lean into God’s action through prayer… will you join me?
Dr. King knew strife. He knew resistance. He knew hate. He also knew the presence of God. May his words remind us of God’s presence in troubled times.
