We recognize the presence of The Divine in the room by opening our minds to prayer. We open ourselves to a concern for others by identifying how we can pray for them. What follows are prompts. Use them as guides to the Spirit to guide your opening heart in expressing itself to God. Let’s open ourselves up through prayer for the specific needs of this week…
Holy God, you bring us in to life. You draw us into new life through spiritual awakenings. This is graduation season. We send our young people into the next phase of life. We celebrate the life that was. We look forward to witnessing the life that is to come. Send your Holy Spirit. Counsel our graduates in lives that witness to love.
Holy God, we pray for your gathered people…
We pray for people of all nations, tribes, and families…
We pray for all that is good in the world. We give thanks. May the world’s goodness increase…
We pray for the sick, the dying, and the suffering…
We pray for those in danger, those in need, those suffering, those oppressed…
We pray for ourselves, our families, and those we love…
God, we have witnessed new life through the death and Resurrection of Jesus. Hear the prayers we offer. Renew the world and draw us into your presence. We pray this through the power of Your Spirit, in the Name of Your Son. Amen.
