Prayers for August 29, 2016
We like to think we have it all under control, but we also need to admit there are a lot of things we fear.

In the midst of all the smoke and pops from last week’s celebration, we got to see little glimpses of what it’s like when we all get along. Let’s pray for more of that this week…
We’re expectant the day is coming when people everywhere get to celebrate together the freedom found in God–that they can do it without fear or suspicion that someone has it out for them. We are expectant that God is leading us toward that day. So even in the midst of backwards steps, in the face of hatred and violence, we trust that God is acting. We lean into God’s action through prayer… will you join me?
Opening ourselves to the presence of God in the room by identifying where and how we’d love to see God at work.
Spring is a season of life. It’s a season of celebration. This week we pray about what we see happening THIS spring… where see much separation and human sickness.
Lifting up the concerns of the people for the week of April 12. May God’s will be done.
